000 M8TRIX FUNCTIONS ( By DATA EFFEX ) 000

A gang of DJS with Techno tracks used to move together round town like a terror squad. Electro terminator acid steppers that they had and no one else did. They Programmed their own dreamscapes and lived for eternity by taking over warehouses, recording the sets to Tape and distribute them.

When I spoke to them they always said you should always try and push the limits in whatever you enjoy, spread positivity and don’t give a fuck what anyone thinks. There is only one life _ enjoy the ups and downs and learn from it. Let it continue your flow through space and time_ Build terrifying constructions of beauty and guard them with your life.

I began to think about Dreams and reality = Signs, language and games. No sleep until pure dis functionality kicks in. Your life changes and mangles into new 3xperiences. Experience the challenges and grind of life and form that into multi-dimensional sculptures of thoughts.

INTERVIEW WITH DATA EFFEX

Interviewer: Today, we have the pleasure of chatting with an new artist renowned for their fusion of sounds from jungle, breakbeats, and techno, creating an immersive experience to what they describe as a space station in the club. Thank you for joining us.

Artist: Thank you for having me. I'm excited to be here.

1. Interviewer: Your music seamlessly blends elements from various genres like jungle, breakbeats, and techno. How do hardware synths and samplers play a role in crafting these diverse sonic landscapes?

Artist: Hardware synths and samplers form the backbone of my creative process. They allow me to extract unique textures from each genre and blend them seamlessly. Using hardware enables me to manipulate sounds in real-time, lending an organic and tactile feel to the music, which I find essential in merging these dense and cryptic genres.

2. Interviewer: Your aim to create a space station-like experience in the club is intriguing. How do you infuse these space-themed elements into your music using hardware instruments?

Artist: Space-themed elements are embedded in the atmospheric programming of the pads, the cosmic layering and filtering , and the futuristic soundscapes created through hardware synthesis. By modulating parameters and utilizing unconventional sampling techniques, I simulate the feeling of floating in zero gravity, bringing that space station aura into the club environment.

3. Interviewer: Could you describe a specific hardware setup or instrument that plays a pivotal role in shaping the space-themed elements within your tracks?

Artist: Certainly. The use of a multi-layered synth synthesizer allows me to craft intricate and evolving soundscapes by stacking synth scapes reminiscent of deep space exploration. Its versatility in patching and tweaking modules helps me create those ethereal, otherworldly sounds.

4. Interviewer: Your music often draws from early jungle and breakbeats. How do you integrate these nostalgic elements into your contemporary techno-infused tracks using hardware synths and samplers?

Artist: I utilize classic hardware samplers to sample and reinterpret iconic breakbeats and jungle rhythms. Then, through manipulation and layering, I blend these vintage sounds into the techno framework, creating a nostalgic yet forward-thinking sonic fusion.

5. Interviewer: The idea of being in a space station while in the club is quite unique. How do you ensure that the audience experiences this transcendental journey during your performances?

Artist: Crafting a sonic narrative is crucial. During performances, I curate a journey that gradually immerses the audience in a cosmic atmosphere. I manipulate hardware instruments live, creating a dynamic experience where the sounds evolve, transporting the crowd to a space-age dimension.

6. Interviewer: Could you share an instance where a hardware synth or sampler led to an unexpected sonic discovery or a breakthrough in your music-making process?

Artist: I remember experimenting with a vintage analog synth, modulating its parameters in real-time during a studio session. A seemingly simple tweak led to a cascading series of evolving tones that became the foundation for an entire track. It was a serendipitous moment that shaped the direction of that composition.

7. Interviewer: What challenges have you encountered while merging such diverse genres and creating a space-themed ambiance within your music using hardware instruments?

Artist: Balancing the elements from different genres without overpowering one another can be challenging. Additionally, achieving the desired futuristic ambiance while maintaining dancefloor energy requires meticulous sound design and arrangement to strike the perfect equilibrium.

8. Interviewer: Your music resonates with both electronic music aficionados and clubgoers. How do you navigate the balance between creating an intellectually stimulating sonic journey and ensuring it remains accessible to a diverse audience?

Artist: It's a delicate balance. I believe in creating depth within the music while ensuring that its fundamental essence—its infectious rhythms and hypnotic beats—remains inviting to all. The journey should be rich in sonic exploration, yet intuitive enough to captivate listeners across various musical preferences.

9. Interviewer: Looking ahead, what innovations or explorations with hardware synths and samplers can we anticipate in your upcoming projects or performances?

Artist: I'm constantly experimenting with new ways to push the boundaries of sound using hardware instruments. In upcoming projects, I'm exploring spatial audio techniques and incorporating even more interactive elements during live performances, aiming to further immerse the audience in the cosmic world I create.

10. Interviewer: Finally, could you describe your ultimate vision for the fusion of hardware-driven music, the amalgamation of diverse genres, and the space station experience in the club?

Artist: My ultimate vision is to continue evolving this sonic journey, where the boundaries between genres blur seamlessly, inviting listeners to embark on a transcendent experience. I envision a club environment where the music acts as a portal, transporting individuals to a place where past, present, and future collide—an ethereal space station amidst the pulsating rhythms of the dancefloor.

Interviewer: Thank you for sharing your insights and visionary approach, blending hardware synths, diverse genres, and a space-inspired ambiance. It's been a pleasure speaking with you.

Artist: Thank you for having me. It's been a pleasure discussing my passion for music and sonic exploration.
